Krookska Berget

Krookska Berget

One of those who bought land and subdivided it into plots was named Krook, and Krookska berget is still used as a swimming area. During Krook's time, a diving bridge was built - and a hook that anchored the bridge into the rock remains.

With today's computer technology, one can search "Fornsök" on www.raa.se (Swedish National Heritage Board) and find out that there are three "observation objects", i.e, possible ancient burial sites, between Krookska berget and Långsjöbadet. They are evidence that people lived here as early as around the time of Christ's birth, who may have buried their relatives by the lake.
