The Transformed 18th-century Palace in Madrid

The Palacio de Ustáriz, also known as the palace of the counts of Villagonzalo, was constructed by Casimiro de Ustáriz, the first Marquis of Ustáriz, in the 18th century. This residence, once the aristocracy’s dwelling, now belongs to an investment firm. The palacio de Ustáriz has an eventful history, with the counts of Villagonzalo owning it in the 18th and 19th centuries. The palace, which has gone through several hands, stands out due to its striking main door, adorned with a baroque-style classical portico that integrates the first and second floors and is crowned by the paired coats of arms of Maldonado and Salabert.
