Hercule Poirot's Whitehaven Mansions

6-9 Charterhouse Square, Barbican, London, UK

Florin Court is an Art Deco / Streamline Modern residential building on the eastern side of Charterhouse Square. Built in 1936, it was one of the earliest residential apartment blocks in this area of London. Those who watched Agatha Christie's Poirot TV series (1989-2013), will undoubtedly recognize this building as Whitehaven Mansions - the fictional residence of Hercule Poirot, the famous detective. The distinctive curved facade appears in almost each and every episode.

In 2019 the building reappeared on the TV screens, this time as the home and neighbourhood of one of the leading characters of the Batman spin-off Pennyworth.
