The Fontaine Attiret, or Fontaine d'Arans, or Fontaine de la porte d'Arans is a public fountain situated on Rue des Arènes in Dole, in the French department of Jura. Built in 1779 by Claude-Francois Attiret, a cousin of the resident artist Antoine-Louis Attiret, the fountain is a testament to the artistic heritage of Dole. It was built near the pavilion of the officers, which was constructed by Antoine-Louis Attiret from 1763 to 1768. The Fontaine Attiret served as an abreuvoir for the horses of the cavalry and as a fontaine for the locals. It was restored in 1856. Today, it is inscribed as a historic monument and is a popular spot for visitors and locals alike.
