The Redoubt of Saint-Apollinaire is a Sere de Rizières fortification built at the end of the 19th century as part of the system defending the place of Dijon. It was built between 1878 and 1880 and is located north-east of Dijon, about 2.5km from the city center. The Redoubt of Saint-Apollinaire is inscribed as a historic monument since March 17, 2006. The Redoubt of Saint-Apollinaire has six casemates, four of which can accommodate a garrison of 125 to 150 men. It also features a kitchen (with a 25m deep well) and a store for artillery equipment. Four anti-aircraft gun positions were added in the 20th century. The Redoubt of Saint-Apollinaire is now used as a recreational park.
