Alexander Calder's Journeying Sculpture: Three Moves in Gothenburg

De tre vingarna, a monumental steel sculpture, was created by American artist Alexander Calder. Purchased in 1967 by the city of Gothenburg through the fund of Charles Felix Lindberg, the sculpture was temporarily placed on Götaplatsen when construction delays occurred. In 1979, it was moved to Angered and positioned outside Kulturhuset Blå stället. Its final move came in 2013, settling it in its current location within Angereds city park. This last move aligned with Alexander Calder's wish for the work to be surrounded by space and accessible from a distance.
