The Enigmatic Hill Fort, known as Birštoniškių piliakalnis, is located 2 km from Pagėgiai and 2 km from Birštoniškiai village. It has an oval shape, oriented east to west, with a diameter of 19x9 m, and a height of 0.5-2 m from the ground. It measures 10-21 m in width and up to 21 m in height in the center. On its northern part, a large ditch, several meters wide, separates the hill fort from the ground. Dating back to the 1st millennium BC to the 13th century, it was first mentioned in 1973 by Lietuvos TSR kultūros paminklų sąrašas, and subsequently in Hollack E. Erläuterungen zur vorgeschichtlichen Übersichtskarte von Ostpreußen in 1908.
