The Archaeological Museum of Murcia, established in 1864 as an addition to the Museum of Painting and Sculpture, moved to its current location, Casa de la Cultura, in 1950. In 1962, it was recognized as a Monument Historical-Artistic. Today, it showcases one of Spain's most significant collections of Iberian art in its 16 exhibition rooms. The museum displays prehistory, Paleolithic, and Bronze Age artifacts along with sections dedicated to Iberian history.
