Gracing the horizon of a northern island, the ancient fortress Uronarti embraces the shape of a triangular islet. This wondrous architecture, a creation of the Middle Kingdom's Terrain-type fortifications, was crafted from humble squares of sun-dried mud bricks, displaying long-forgotten names inscribed upon its foundation. According to legend, Uronarti protected the border both in tranquil times and in upheaval. Now, its walls can only converse with the wind. Yet, recent investigations suggest that Uronarti was more than just a castle. Within its walls resided a bustling populace, a lively marketplace. A grand, rectangular mud brick building, the 'Campaign Palace', was found as well. Although it remains a mystery if this building truly served as the royal resting place for the kings during their campaigns.
