Located on the highest terrace of the west bank of the river, Dubių piliakalnis is a triangular fortress surrounded by a 8-meter-wide wall. Constructed during the second half of the 1st millennium AD, it offers a prominent entrance gate that descends 12 meters. A smaller 5-meter-long opening can also be found on the right. A 1.4-meter-deep, 12-meter-wide ditch is present at the fortress's entrance. Archaeological studies, initiated in 1933, have revealed Dubių piliakalnis as a significant remnant of the Iron Age.
