The neoclassical seat of the Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The neoclassical building housing the Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife has served as the town hall since 1904.

The Ayuntamiento de Santa Cruz de Tenerife is located on Calle Viera y Clavijo in the Los Hoteles neighborhood. This neoclassical building dates back to 1902 and was initially intended to be a Palacio de Justicia, though by 1904 it had become the casa consistorial.

Many people call the building "La Casa de los Dragos" because of the two Dracaena draco specimens located on both sides of the main entrance. The building serves as the current seat of the mayoralty and the public plenary sessions.

Today, the position of alcalde-presidente is held by José Manuel Bermúdez Esparza. He leads a government integrated by Coalición Canaria and the Partido Popular, with a non-affiliated councillor from Vox also serving in the plenary.
