Paleochristian Basilica of Son Bou: A 5th-century Landmark on Menorca's Shores

The Paleochristian Basilica of Son Bou is a three-nave structure, oriented from east to west. Discovered in 1951, it is estimated to be a construction from the 5th century. Outside the basilica, there is a necropolis excavated in the rock. The basilica is a Bien de interés cultural de Alayor, a cultural landmark and a reminder of the early Christian presence in Menorca.
