Västerås - The city with four towers
For Listening
Västerås is recognized by its silhouette from Lake Mälaren and is known as the city with four towers. The Domkyrka's tower was first, followed by the ASEA-tower, Stadshuset's tower and Skrapan. Take a stroll from tower to tower, along the river and through the park, wander through the wooden houses in the curved narrow streets and learn Västerås stories from old and new times. The 15-stop promenade in central Västerås is approximately 3 km long. The last two stops (The Old Angle Power Station and the largest grave mound in Sweden) are best accessed by car as they are 3 and 7 km away from the city center respectively.
