Sweden's 8th tallest building

The iconic office tower continues to impress visitors and locals alike with its striking design and unmatched views.

Construction of the Skrapan started in 1988 and was completed in 1990. It stands 81 meters tall and has 25 floors (27 if the cellar's PH house is included), making it the second tallest building in Västerås and the 8th tallest high-rise building in Sweden / the 24th tallest building in the country. The Skrapan houses hotels, restaurants, bars, and a supermarket, as well as offices and apartments. It is also used as a competition venue. On May 9, 2010, Swedish adventurer Tony Berglund set a world record in Vertical Run when he ran 100 meters down the Skrapan, plus a temporary structure built on the Skrapan's roof, in 34.76 seconds. On July 1, 2011, a stair race, 'Du Kan Run', was held in the Skrapan. The fastest participant climbed the 25 floors in 2 minutes and 5 seconds.
