The watchtower manor house

Ca l'Oliva, a protected cultural asset of local interest in Mataró, Maresme, is a four-sided manor house dating back to the 17th century. The entrance is marked by stone pillars and a stone doorway, but what catches the eye is the watchtower on the east side of its south façade. Its presence suggests a more dramatic history. The arrangement of the windows on the main facade follows the rhythm of the three sections of the building's structure.
