The 5th-century Roman Villa - Can Ferrerons: A Hidden Corner of Premià de Mar's

Discovered in 2000, the site of Can Ferrerons in Premià de Mar unveils a 5th-century Roman villa. With excavations revealing an octagonal building, this was once a haven of luxury and leisure for Romans. Feasting, bathing, wine-making, and burials were common practices within the villa. Later, it served agricultural purposes, only to be abandoned in the 7th century AD. Despite being largely forgotten, Can Ferrerons was declared a cultural heritage site in 2014. Now, visitors can explore the 550 square meter site, uncovering vestiges of a past era in organized groups.
