Conjunt troglodític de Sorta, located in Conca de Dalt, Pallars Jussà, Spain, is an archaeological site listed in the Inventari del Patrimoni Arqueològic i Paleontològic de Catalunya. Dating back to the Middle Ages, this site showcases a habitation skillfully adapted to the region's large caverns and caves. These medieval remains consist of a church built in the 11th century, a fortress, and other structures. A legend tells the story of a cow thrown over a cliff, a sign of the struggle between Christian townsfolk and invading Moors. According to the legend, the Moors abandoned their siege of the Christian town at Sorta after concluding that the town had food resources to spare. As they retreated from the Serradell Valley, the townsfolk attacked from behind, marking the end of Moorish rule in the valley. Today, traces of this ancient cow can still be found within the site.
