San Ponziano, situated in Spoleto, Umbria, Italy, is a location steeped in historical importance. Known as the patron saint of Umbria, St. Ponziano is reputed to have performed numerous miracles during his lifetime, many of which are still celebrated. The church, bearing his name, holds his relics, meticulously preserved in the crypt. Originally constructed, it underwent a neoclassical renovation in 1788 by Giuseppe Valadier. Apart from serving as a place of religious reverence, it also operates as a religious guesthouse, open to all, managed by a community of Canonesses Regular of the Lateran. With ties deep in Umbria's past, the church continues to be a significant cultural site in the region.
