The Monument al Mestre Clavé is a public academicist sculpture in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, included in the Architectural Heritage Inventory of Catalonia. Created by Rafael Solanic i Balius, the sculpture was inaugurated in 1954 and underwent a reconstruction in 1980. It stands on a hexagonal pedestal and consists of a central granite prism with lateral figures.
The monument is dedicated to J. Anselm Clavé (1824-1894). It features a central sculpture of a child with a star on his forehead, a lyre, and a laurel branch. On either side of the prism are two triangular bodies with terracotta ceilings representing choral singers. The sculpture is characterized by a balanced and classicist style, associated with the postwar noucentisme movement.
Inscriptions on the monument honor various choral societies in the city. The front bears the dedication to J. Anselm Clavé, while the back lists the societies: L'Univers, L'Aurora, la Joventut, els Antics, els Callats, els Pilotaires, els Rossinyols, and els Torrassencs. These are presented as a tribute from the choral societies of the city, presided by the standard of the S.C el Llobregat, which was founded in 1851 as the first of all.
