The Banqueting House, located on Whitehall in Westminster, central London, is the last surviving large banqueting house. It's the only significant remains of the Palace of Whitehall, the residence of English monarchs from 1530 to 1698. Completed in 1622 by Inigo Jones in a style influenced by Andrea Palladio, the structure cost £15,618. Despite 18th-century debates over its facade renovation in Portland stone, the building's original features were conserved discreetly.
