The Palacio de Fabio Nelli

The Palacio de Fabio Nelli is a valuable historic building, considered by critics and historians as a remarkable example of Italian-inspired architecture during the classicist period in the city of Valladolid (Castile and Leon, Spain). The building was commissioned by the banker Fabio Nelli, who was born in 1533 and wanted to build a palace in the Italian style. However, according to the sources, the history of Valladolid was already in decline during this period. The building, located in the heart of the city, was decorated and finished following the Italian classicist style, with a facade, playground and stairs that are considered the epitome of this style in Valladolid.

Despite going through several uses after the death of its sponsor, in the 20th century it became the headquarters of the Valladolid Museum, an institution dedicated to the collection of archaeological and artistic remains of the province.
