The mesón de San Rafael, a 19th-century neoclassical building in Malaga, Spain, was constructed by local architect Cirilo Salinas. It stands on the site of the former Puerta Nueva, one of Malaga's old gates. The most intriguing feature of this hidden gem is a lion sculpture, a tribute to its promoter, León Bendicho. The lion sculpture is located on the interior columns of the building. The building's decoration includes Corinthian capitals and arched passages leading to the main entrance.
