Garnių kaimo's forgotten hillforts: Unraveling the mysteries of the past

Hidden deep in the forests of Utena region, two hillforts near Garnių kaimo offer a glimpse into Lithuania's past. The first hillfort, reaching up to 17 meters, has largely been buried beneath the earth, with visible remnants of pyramids, a wall, and a pit at its upper parts. The second hillfort, approximately 1 km away, boasts a central platform and pyramids, standing 3 meters lower than the first, with a terrace 2 meters below the central platform. Both hillforts have been excavated and are under the protection of the Lithuanian National Museum, holding the secrets of the past within their earthy walls.
