A 20th-century ghost train station in Galicia, Spain

Bóveda station, a railway station in Galicia, Spain, served the municipalities of Bóveda and Rubián between 1896 and 1977. Over time, the station suffered from a decline in passenger and goods traffic. The sparse number of passengers it served was one of the reasons for its decline. On February 10, 1977, a train collided with the station, causing its destruction. The accident occurred when a train entered a dead track and collided with the building, which was located on the line connecting León and A Coruña, between the stations of Monforte de Lemos and Rubián.
