Miravet's forgotten treasure: a Jewish fortress mirroring the Castell de Mur

The Casa Forta de Miravet, located in the hamlet of Miravet within the term of Mur, is an exceptional example of Jewish fortified houses. Although its present condition leaves much to be desired, its construction showcases a remarkable resemblance to the renowned Castell de Mur. The Casa Forta de Miravet's design, made from rough stones bound with lime mortar, features distinctively rounded angles, much like those of the Castell de Mur. To reach the Casa Forta de Miravet, one first follows the way to the Castell de Mur and then takes a turn to the left, traversing an unpaved road.
