The 1980s-damaged Nave of Medieval Chapel Sant Esteve de Mont-ros

Sant Esteve de Mont-ros, situated in La Torre de Cabdella's municipality, Spain, can be found along the asphalted rural road connecting Mont-ros village to the L-503. The chapel, which was still a chapel of Mont-ros in 1904, has undergone significant changes since the 1980s. A road was built through the nave, leading to the demolition of the western wall and the apse. The temple, with irregular and poorly worked stones, was thought to have a wooden roof, despite its narrow nave and the absence of ribbed arches. Despite dating from the 11th century, the ruins that stand today bear the marks of the 1980s damage.
