The first altar of the Iglesia de San Andrés Apóstol in Córdoba, Spain

The Iglesia de San Andrés Apóstol in Córdoba, Spain, is one of the monumental Iglesias fernandinas. After the Christian conquest of the city in the 13th century, the first references to the church date back to 1246 when it was being constructed. The church was built over the remains of the antique Basílica de San Zoilo and is located in the heart of the Vía Augusta, a Roman road that connected major cities in the province. In 1985, the church was declared a Monument of Cultural Interest.
