Located in the south-west of the Halfaouine square in the Medina of Tunis, Saheb Ettabaâ Palace is an old palace. It was built at the beginning of the 19th century by order of Youssef Saheb Ettabaa.
The palace can be found at the entrance of Souk Jedid. During the same period as the palace's construction, the Halfaouine district saw the building of a new mosque, two madrasas, a hammam, a fountain, a mausoleum, and a foundouk.
The palace has three floors. The ground floor was used for the stables and warehouses, while the two remaining floors were used for the private apartments and salons.
