The Convento de San Antonio de Padua, a Franciscan convent dedicated to St Anthony of Padua, was created in 1525. Once a grand palace, its Gothic-Mudéjar entrance offers a glimpse of the former grandeur. The chapter house and the choir, constructed during the same period, conserve a floor of azulejos, a rare and enduring art form. The main altar boasts an 18th-century Baroque altarpiece, while the sepulchers of its founders, the De la Fuente family, are found in the side chapels.
