The ruins of the abandoned Convent of Oreja sit in the municipality of Langayo, in the province of Valladolid, in the autonomous community of Castilla y León, Spain. It appears they were built towards the end of the 10th or 11th century, in the midst of the repopulation of the Duero basin. Situated on the edge of the Campaspero plains, they lead to the characteristic valleys of Langayo. Various paths converge at Convento de Santa María de Oreja, suggesting it was a gathering point for travellers, including those starting from Bahabón, Minguela, Campaspero, and Langayo. However, there are no records that survive from the 11th century, so the original order and patrons of the convent remain a mystery.
