Puebla de Sanabria town hall: A grand 18th-19th century Spanish architectural

The Puebla de Sanabria town hall, situated at Plaza Mayor 1, is a noteworthy example of Spanish Enlightenment architecture. Constructed in the 18th and 19th centuries, this building stands tall in the heart of a vibrant, small town in the Zamora region. The town hall's impressive façade and sweeping roofline are testaments to its status as a unique representative of 18th-century civil architecture. Shaped rectangularly and rising two stories, the building's lateral façade leans against a steep hillside, while its main façade boasts a porch at ground level, three wide arches, and a portico gallery with four arches above.

Four consecutive tower bodies, crowned with pyramidal chapitals and balls, adorn the roof's extremities. Puebla de Sanabria town hall was granted the status of a cultural monument on February 17, 2022.
