Ancient hill settlement active in 1st century AD: Papravalės piliakalnis

The Papravalės piliakalnis hill, a cultural monument, stands tall at a height of 35 meters with a diameter of approximately 130 meters at its base. Trenches and ditches across the hill are evidence of its defensive structures. Despite the Lithuanian Cultural Heritage Commission registering and protecting it in 2005, this hill, covering 58,000 square meters, is believed to have been active during the 1st century AD. Close by, another cultural monument, Papravalės pilkapys, was found back in 1907.
