The Oppidum d'Ensérune near Nissan-lez-Ensérune, France, is participating in Europe's Archaeology Weekend from June 12-14, 2026. During the three-day event, visitors can participate in guided tours, exhibitions, workshops, and special presentations. The site, which dates back to the 6th century BC and lasted until the 1st century AD, offers a glimpse into the culture and way of life of the Gauls. Three experts – Stéphanie Adroit, Philippe Boissinot, and Lionel Izac – will share current research and recent discoveries made on the site. The event is free and open to the public.
