A significant part of Carina Rydberg's acclaimed novel The Highest Bid from 1997 takes place at the restaurant P.A. & Co located on Riddargatan 8. For instance, Rydberg writes: 'It would take some time before we spoke again. I remember that he entered PA a few weeks later, accompanied by four men in evening wear, who looked like lawyers just as they did, and that I made an unsuccessful attempt to greet him just before he sat down at the table.' Although I was not certain, I had a firm feeling that he noticed my greeting, but for some reason he chose to ignore me.
