Lagerlunda: Forging Sweden's Legendary Swords

For over two centuries, Lagerlunda served as a private stronghold, home to powerful Swedish families such as the Stålhandske, Forthelius, and Lagerfelt. Today, relics of this rich history can be found in the ruins of the stronghold and the ancient runestones, Ög 109 and Ög 110. A tragic railway incident on the 15th of November 1875 is part of Lagerlunda's more recent tale, still remembered by the locals. This story focuses on the historic stronghold and its forge, rather than the neighboring villages.
