Hjularöd Castle, situated in the municipality of Eslöv, Sweden, is a remarkable example of neo-medieval architecture. Tracing the estate's lineage back to 1391, the present structure was built between 1894 and 1897, commissioned by chamberlain Hans Gustaf Toll. Designed by architects Isak Gustaf Clason and Lars Israel Wahlman, the castle draws inspiration from French medieval castles, most notably Château de Pierrefonds in design. Owned by the Bergengren family since 1926, the castle, functioning as a private residence, is not open to the public. Interestingly, scenes from the 1996 Swedish SVT Christmas Calendar production Mysteriet på Greveholm were filmed in the courtyard of the manor.
