Forgotten Spain train station: Auñón train station

Auñón train station, situated in the Spanish municipality of Auñón, was a former railway station that operated for nearly half a century. Opened on September 29, 1919, the station served the town of Auñón on the Tajuña railway, managed by the Madrıd-Aragon Railway Company. The line was extended to Alocen in the same year, but it was never completed and closed in 1953. The station was abandoned after that, and the train tracks were eventually removed. Today, the station stands abandoned and overgrown, a relic of Spain’s railway history.
