The Eleventh-Century Ruins of La Torresaviñán: A History of Border Defenses and

The castle of La Torresaviñán in Spain’s Guadalajara province was built in the 11th century by Manrique de Lara, lord of Molina, as part of his territorial defense. It was built to defend a border with the Taifa of Molina. During the war between Austria and Borbones, its walls and part of the tower were destroyed by Austria's retreating troops.
