Església de Sant Quintí de Montclar

A possible 12th century church in Spain that may have been linked to the castle of Montclar, but no documentary evidence has been found to support this claim. However, it is known that until the 18th century, it was linked to the parish church of Sant Martí de Montclar. A rudimentary lipsanoteca from St. Quintí has been preserved in the Diocesan Museum of Solsona.

Sant Quintí de Montclar is a Romanesque church in the village of Sant Quintí de Montclar, in the municipality of Montclar (Berguedà). The nave is covered with a barrel vault with a semi-circular apse. The walls inside discharge onto two semi-circular arches, near the head. The walls are completely plastered. The doorway is on the south, with a semi-circular arch made of stones. At the feet, there is a bell tower, which is rather damaged. The roof is covered with two-sloped tiles. The walls exterior is covered with two-sloped tiles with Arab tiles. The stonework changes depending on the sector, possibly due to some renovation campaign of the original building. The vault collapsed in 1982 and only the walls remain.
