Located in the depopulated area of Peguera within the municipality of Fígols, the ruined church of Sant Miquel serves as a testament to yesteryears. Officially recognized as an immovable heritage site (IPAC-3288) by the Generalitat de Catalunya, this historical building was dedicated to Christian worship and is currently in a bad state of conservation.
The walls are constructed of irregular, unworked stone arranged in rows. Only the walls remain, reaching a maximum height of one floor, although most do not reach half a meter in height. A cemetery is adjacent to the site.
The surrounding environment is filled with crops, pastures, and woods. While there are historical records of the Castle of Peguera between 1068 and 1095, documents regarding the location of Peguera date back as far as the 12th century.
