Born from Every Kiss, a photomosaic located at Plaça d'Isidre Nonell in Barcelona's City Hall district, was created by photographers Joan Fontcuberta and ceramist Toni Cumella. It features an image of two lips kissing, made from 4000 ceramic tesserae distributed in 50 rows of 80 tesserae each. The concept originated from the tricentenary of the Catalan defeat in the War of Spanish Succession (September 11, 1714), commemorating Catalonia Day.
Initiated by photographer Joan Fontcuberta and El Periódico de Catalunya, the project involved creating a mural using photos sent by El Periódico's readers, depicting the theme 'living free'. Initially intended as a temporary installation, Barcelona City Hall chose to keep it permanently. The mural was inaugurated on July 3, 2014, by Barcelona's mayor Xavier Trias.
