Barcelona Cathedral

Barcelona Cathedral, also known as The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, is a gothic cathedral in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona and is dedicated to the Holy Cross and Eulalia of Barcelona, the city's co-patron saint. Eulalia was born about 290 AD and suffered martyrdom during the Roman Empire. She was a young woman who was born in a Christian family. According to Catholic tradition, she was exposed naked in a public square and died as a virgin.

Her relics are kept in a gothic crypt beneath the cathedral floor. The crypt is a small space, accessed through a door in the cathedral floor, and houses the relics of Eulalia. The crypt is a tranquil and peaceful place, away from the hustle and bustle of the cathedral. Visitors can light candles and pray for the intercession of Eulalia. The crypt is a reminder of Barcelona's rich history and its deep Christian roots.
