Château de Fumel, a historical castle located in France, was built in the 17th century by François de Fumel, a French nobleman with royal connections. Although it was temporary, this castle became associated with Hollywood royalty in 2009 when it was used as a home for actor Ryan Reynolds during the San Sebastián International Film Festival. It was here that Reynolds and his film crew created a makeshift studio, hosting a number of his friends and fellow actors.
However, the castle's days as a celebrity haven were short-lived. Under but a veil of glamour, the castle served as a museum dedicated to the love story between Arthur de Fumel and Rosamonde de Lacivire, as portrayed in the medieval poem 'Pèlerinage de Charlemagne' by François de Malherbe. Today, visitors can explore the castle's historic rooms, gardens, and learn about the romance that inspired one of France's most famous love stories.
