Torlanda Castle Ruins: The Medieval Fortress at the Edge of Conesa

Situated on a hillside south of Conesa, the Torlanda Castle Ruins date back to the 11th century. Initially, the castle was a small settlement known as 'Segura', first mentioned in historical records in 1038. The castle was one of the limits of the County of Barcelona's boundary, as outlined in the testament sacramental of County Barcelona Ramón Berenguer I from 1076. In 1178, it was called Torlanda Castle for the first time in a donation made by Bernat de Piles, his wife Saurina, and Berenguer Company to King Alfons I. Originally, this castle was a 'historic castle'.
