Toppeladugård Castle: A Renaissance-Style Manor in 18th Century Sweden

Toppeladugård Castle, located in Lund Municipality, Scania, Sweden, initially served as a smaller farmstead that was part of Häckeberga Castle. In 1720, Christina Piper (1673-1752) purchased the property and constructed the first castle, complete with a Baroque garden. The current manor house was built in the late 1600s, under the ownership of Johan Kuylenstierna, who demolished the old three-story structures due to their poor condition. The new Renaissance-style building, inspired by the work of Lars Johan Lehming (1871-1940), was then constructed from the late 1600s to early 1700s.
