The Four-Tiered Historical Mound of Vitkūnų piliakalnis

Vitkūnų piliakalnis, a historic site in Leliūnų seniūnija, Utena region, Lithuania, retains a registered presence until 2005. The site, located on a hill, covers an area of 6 hectares and measures 17x15 metres. The mound, with four ramps leading to three trenches in the middle, features four platforms. The first platform, 1.3 metres high, 8 metres wide, and 0.5 metres deep, is home to a 4-metre-high staircase. The second platform, 2.5 metres wide and 0.3 metres deep, is followed by a third platform 1.3 metres high, 4 metres wide, and 2.6 metres deep. Above this, the fourth platform is 1.3 metres high, 4 metres wide, and 2.6 metres deep. A hidden platform lies beneath the fourth, 1.5 metres high, 6 metres wide, and 3 metres deep. Another platform, 3 metres high, 5 metres wide, and 3 metres deep, is hidden within the fourth.
