Discovering Málaga's Historical Lighthouse: A Journey through La Farola

Built by engineer Joaquín María Pery y Guzmán in 1813, La Farola originally stood at the entrance of the Puerto de Málaga. Now, it is located in the heart of the port, its walls echoing with centuries of history. Initially a wooden lantern, it later became a lighthouse with a keeper's dwelling. The basement, constructed by the Spanish Metallic Construction Company, houses remnants of the past engineering feats, filled with mercury.
