The woman statue of Trini in Málaga's City Park

The Monument to Arturo Reyes in Málaga, Spain, marks the centenary of the birth of the renowned Malagueño poet, journalist, and novelist who spent his career documenting the working-class barrio life of his neighbourhood. His literary work, including novels Cartucherita (1897) and La Goletera (1900), were rooted in the rhythms of Andalusian speech and focused on the streets and fishing neighbourhoods he grew up in. This monument in the Parque de Málaga was inaugurated in 1964 by sculptor Adrián Risueño Gallardo and it includes a bust of the writer on a pedestal. The woman statue representing a figure of fiction is situated at ground level, holding a rose in her right hand.
