Under the Spanish sun, a bronze homage to the 'Father of Modernismo': Ruben

The Monument to Ruben Darío, a bronze bust, is located within the eastern part of Parque de Málaga, Spain. The bust is the creation of Spanish artist José Planes, who finished it in 1963. The monument is a tribute to Ruben Darío, the 'Father of Modernismo' from Nicaragua, standing opposite the Hospital Noble de La Malagueta. The inscription on the monument reads 'Málaga | a | Rubén Darío | MCMLXIII'.
