The Watchtower of el Sur del Burgo, a key outpost during the Caliphate period in the mountainous landscape of medieval Spain, boasts an imposing height of over 8 meters. Built using an encofrado construction method, the structure features a circular and cilindrical design, with base and two upper levels. A large stone slab forms the lintel of its entrance. Despite its relatively small size, the Watchtower holds a commanding view, interacting functionally and visually with other historical landmarks such as the Atalayas de Uxama and the Castle of Gormaz.
